Nippon Hisho!! | Permalink
Saa, I've been too much into japanese stuff.
It probably first began when my father once gave me some stuff he got from Japan. A kimono, a GBC, a GameBoy Camera, a GameBoy Printer (Pikachu Yellow Version), Japanese sticks, brochures about a city called Narita (east from Tokyo), etc.
I was quite interested, back then, of what those little characters printed on the sheets of those brochures meant. And of course, I didn't know what Japan was, or what Nippon even means.

After talking to some people who know, or used to know, Japanese, I became much more interested, especially with the growth of the internet (with the free access to japanese sites) and the possibility to type kanji in the PSP's browser.

I am so fond of that country, I really wanted Japan to perform great this FIFA World Cup. But, well, they got to be in the last position of their group, after being amazingly defeated by the socceroos and Brazil. I remember a video taken from outside the stadium. People dressed as samurais and wierdos (with of course their kimonos and white and red paint on their faces). I remember clearly of a man dressed as a blue samurai, with the rising sun flag on his armor and 4 characters: nippon hisho (I guess). I think it meant Victory to Japan, or something like this, but this man just kept yelling: "Nippon hisho! Nippon hisho!!".

Wierd people, cool country.

Anyway, I just can't say goodbye without including in this post fabulous japanese shows on YouTube. Have fun! Hehe!

Hehe, sorry!
